In May 2025, Leipzig will play host to a celebration of the works of composer, Dmitri Shostakovich, 50 years after his death in 1975. The rich spectrum of these works will be the focus of our anniversary tour to the Shostakovich Festival, and in this interview, ACE Tour Director and musicologist Richard Wigmore discusses how he first discovered the composer and a highlight he looks forward to on tour.
