This art history tour in the South of France explores how the vivid colours of the Côte d’Azur, not to mention the region’s enchanting architecture and mild climate, captivated a succession of Europe’s leading artists.
During our exploration of the area our visits include some of the museums dedicated to the artists inspired by the region, such as Musée Matisse, Musée Chagall and Musée Jean Cocteau, a wander around the walled village of St Paul de Vence and the nearby Fondation Maeght and an excursion to the Ephrussi de Rothschild Villa and Gardens.
