• Take an in-depth look at the city of Corinth, exploring the centre of the ancient polis as well as the outer lying sanctuaries
• Explore the island of Aegina and its magnificent Temple of Aphaia, one of the best preserved in the Mediterranean

Depart London Heathrow 0900 on British Airways, arriving Athens 1445. Transfer to Hotel Philippos for two nights. Welcome talk: Isthmus in Classical Literary Sources and Aegina.
Whole day excursion to the island of Aegina: Temple of Aphaia, Archaeological Museum, site of Kolona (well-preserved Bronze-age fortifications), Temple of Apollo. Evening talk: Ancient Greek Religion and the Mystery at Eleusis.
Visits to site of Eleusis and museum, Isthmia (including archaeological museum) and Kenchrai (underwater remains of Roman port). Transfer to the Kalamaki Beach Hotel for three nights. Evening talk: Panhellenic Games.
Visits to Lechaion (Byzantine basilica and port), Corinth (including archaeological museum) and optional visit to Acrocorinth (acropolis of ancient Corinth). Evening talk: Early Iron Age Greece and the Sanctuary at Perachora.
Morning in Nemea (Ancient Nemea and Archaeological Museum) followed by Sicyon. Afternoon: Heraion (sanctuary of the goddess Hera) of Perachora (stunning location on the north side of the gulf of Corinth) via Loutraki.
Depart Athens 1325, arriving Heathrow 1530.
