Nick Keyes
Biography
Nick Keyes read English Language and Literature at St John’s College Oxford before being commissioned into the Queen’s Regiment and spending 20 years in the British Army, during which he qualified as a Spanish Interpreter. After leaving the Army, Nick gained a PGCE and taught English and Classics for 23 years. Following retirement, he became a freelance tour guide and has led many history tours to Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg and Auschwitz, and battlefield tours of Crécy, Agincourt, Waterloo, Normandy and the Western Front, where he has found a bit more use for his French than his Spanish, and has enjoyed rekindling the fascination these places have held for him ever since he first visited them as a small boy.
