Biography
Eleftheria Pappa, PhD, is a specialist in the archaeology of the Mediterranean, with a particular expertise on population movement and cultural exchange in the 1st millennium BCE. Originally from Athens, she undertook her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, culminating with a doctorate from the University of Oxford. Following this, Eleftheria has held research and teaching positions at a selection of universities and research institutes in the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Spain and the United States. She has also carried out fieldwork in England, Greece and Portugal. She is the author of two monographs and many academic publications in journals and edited volumes, as well as a contributor to publications on archaeology and ancient history aimed at a broader audience.
Eleftheria is looking forward to welcoming ACE travellers to this beautiful region of Greece on her first tour in 2026.
