With spring upon us, now is the perfect time to look ahead to fresh journeys with ACE. Our Spring Bulletin features a wealth of stimulating cultural adventures for 2019, including a brand new ‘musical odyssey’ leading travellers on a discovery of the jazz and blues legacy of America’s ‘Deep South’, led by musician and broadcaster Sandy Burnett. We are also delighted to launch the second in our series of more gently paced tours, this time to the ancient Tuscan city of Lucca.
In addition to these new ventures, we look forward to returning to some of our favourite destinations, with a number of classic tours featuring on our 2019 calendar, as well as some exciting variations on past departures. Our nature tour to Portugal will feature two centres – the fascinating and diverse Alentejo and Algarve regions – with two Tour Directors bringing a dual perspective to the area’s landscape and wildlife. We are equally delighted to be returning to the Holy Land, Malta for Valletta’s International Baroque Festival (this year featuring a performance from Tour Director Ashley Solomon), and Stratford-upon-Avon for works by Shakespeare and Molière, amongst other destinations.
