Autumn Bulletin 2018
Autumn is the perfect time to plan exciting new experiences for 2018. Our programme of music, cultural and nature tours offers something for everyone, from the palaces of Portugal (pg. 40) to the operas of Gilbert & Sullivan (pg. 25) and the natural history of Sardinia (pg. 36).
We are delighted to begin our Autumn Bulletin with the launch of a brand new tour to Lucca (pg. 7), the first in a collection of gentler-paced ACE tours to be expanded on in 2019. Based in one of Italy’s most enchanting cities, this tour will combine classic ACE visits with added free time for exploration and, if wished, relaxation. Illuminated by talks from the Tour Director, and with plenty of opportunities to sample the local cuisine over extended lunch breaks, this new programme is ideal for those who would like to discover a destination from the inside out.
Our Autumn Bulletin continues with the release of an array of music tours for 2018, followed by two ‘distant destinations’ highlights: Burma (pg. 30) and Odisha (pg. 31). We conclude with a series of cultural and nature tours departing in the latter half of the year. Among these offerings, we are particularly pleased to announce additional departures of classic ACE tours, from an exploration of the varied cultural history of Roussillon (pg. 38), to investigations of the Golden Age of Dutch Painting (pg. 39) and the artistic highlights of Bologna, Mantua and Parma (pg. 34).
