Christopher Bourne, BA, read History and French at the University of Manchester and has been leading art and architectural history tours in the UK and Belgium for over 20 years. His early interest in nineteenth-century art and architecture developed into specialist knowledge of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, the Arts & Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, Jugendstil and the Viennese Secession. He is a member of the Victorian Society and the Twentieth-Century Society and an adviser to tourism organisations in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Christopher also lived in Brussels for over 15 years where he worked as a freelance translator, led guided tours and acquired an in-depth knowledge of the city's architectural and artistic history.
