Itinerary

Day

1

Tour assembles 1600 at the Monkbar Hotel, York, for two nights. Introductory lecture: The Garden of Eden, followed by welcome drinks reception.

Day

2

Morning lecture: The Labours of the Months. Depart on foot for visits to St William’s College (oak carvings of the labours of the months) and York Minster. Evening lecture: The York Minster North Choir aisle carvings.

Day

3

Morning lecture: Doom. Depart on foot for Holy Trinity Church Goodramgate (15th century window), York Guildhall (medieval roof-bosses), and All Saints Church (exceptionally fine medieval stained glass). Tour disperses 1600 at the hotel.
