Itinerary

Day

1

Depart London St Pancras 0858 on Eurostar, arriving Brussels 1208. Transfer to Hotel Metropole for one night. Afternoon visit to Waterloo Monument at the Brussels Cemetery, Evere. Evening introductory lecture: Waterloo: a Magnificent Victory or an Inglorious Blunder?

2

Fleurus (observation tower), Ligny, Quatre Bras (crossroads and monuments), Genappe. Transfer to the hotel Castle Gravenhof, for two nights.

3

Le Caillou (Napoleon’s headquarters), Hougoumont Farm complex, La Haye Sainte farm.

Day

4

Morning: Battle Interpretation Centre, Lion Mound and Panorama. Lunch at Mont Saint-Jean Farm. Afternoon: Waterloo (Wellington’s headquarters). Transfer to Brussels for 1756 departure on Eurostar, arriving London St Pancras 1903.
