Depart London Heathrow 0855 to Yerevan via Moscow on Aeroflot Russian Airlines arriving Yerevan 2015. Transfer to hotel in Yerevan for five nights.
Morning: panoramic coach tour of Yerevan including Republic Square, St Grigor Lusavorich Cathedral, Zoravor Church and Cascade complex. Afternoon: visit to the National Gallery of Armenia and History Museum of Armenia.
Excursion to Mt Aragats: Karmravor church in Ashtarak town, monasteries of Hovhannavank and Saghmosavank. Family-hosted lunch in Oshakan. Afternoon: drive up Mt Aragats to see Amberd Castle and Church.
Vagharshapat: Etchmiadzin Cathedral, churches of St Hripsime and St Gayane, Cathedral of Zvartnots, Holy Mother of God Cathedral and Shoghakat Church. Return to Yerevan visiting Genocide Memorial and Blue Mosque en route.
Mesrop Mashtots (matenadaran) Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, medieval Monastery of Geghard, Garni fortress and temple. Afternoon: Urartian fortress of Erebuni. Free evening.
Excursion to Khor Virap Monastery, Noravank Monastery. Continue via field of khachkars (stone crosses) at Noratus and Hayravank Monastery. Overnight stay in Tsaghkadzor.
Depart via Sevanavank peninsula to Dilijan for monasteries of Goshavank and Haghartsin. Overnight stay at Tufenkian Avan Dzoraget Hotel near Armenia-Georgia border.
Debed Gorge: UNESCO World Heritage sites of Haghpat and Sanahin. Continue to Georgian border via Akhtala fortress and monastery. Cross border and transfer to Tbilisi for four nights.
Tbilisi: old town, medieval churches of Metekhi and Sioni, State Museum of Georgia, bathhouses, Narikala Fortress, Anchiskhati, Holy Trinity Cathedral.
