Morning in Paphos: Hellenistic ‘Tombs of the Kings’. Continue to Geroskipou for church of Agia Paraskevi (9th to 15th century frescoes) and Folk Art Museum. Afternoon in Kouklia (main site, museum, Persian siege-mound, medieval sugar cane mill).
Kourion (archaeological site including Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates and stadium), Kolossi Castle. Transfer to Limassol for three nights at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Morning: Amathus archaeological site, Limassol Castle (medieval museum). Free afternoon. Evening lecture: Cypriot Artefacts & Art.
Galata: churches of Panagia Podithou and Archangelos Michael (Panagia Theotokos) followed by church of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis. Afternoon: church of Archangelos Michael, Pedoulas and monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis, Kalopanagiotis.
Morning visits to Choirokoitia Neolithic settlement (UNESCO World Heritage site), Pano Lefkara (traditional lacemaking) then continue to Larnaca for District Archaeological Museum. Afternoon: visits to churches of Agios Lazaros, Larnaca and Panayia Angeloktisti, Kiti, then transfer to Nicosia for four nights at Hotel Cleopatra.
Morning: Cyprus Museum, Byzantine Museum, church of Agios Ioannis, House of Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios. Afternoon: Selimiye Mosque (formerly cathedral of St Sophia), Bedesten (St Nicholas church of the English, exterior only) and Büyük Han (Ottoman caravanserai).
Into northern Cyprus for St Hilarion Castle (mountaintop fortress) and Bellapais Abbey (probably the finest surviving Gothic monument in Cyprus). Afternoon: Kyrenia (castle and shipwreck museum).
Morning: ancient Greek city of Salamis. Afternoon in Famagusta (citadel and free time).
Morning visits to monastery of Agios Iraklidios, Politiko and Hala Sultan Tekke near Larnaca (burial place of Umm Haram, a close friend or relative of the Prophet Muhammad). Depart Larnaca 1450, arriving Heathrow 1745.
