Peter is a Middle East specialist and former Cultural Attaché at the British Council in Damascus.

He is a fluent speaker of Arabic and has translated several books from Arabic, including Damascus Bitter Sweet: Damascus Is Asleep.

Peter is editor of The Lefties Guide to Britain (with an introduction by Michael Foot) that details the radical heritage of the British Isles.
