Christopher, a graduate in history from Cambridge University, has devoted most of his career to working as a senior teacher at the Oxford Institute in Piacenza in Italy, where he lives with his family.

He is a recognised guide in Piacenza-Bobbio. Christopher's interests include not only history and the church but also art and architecture, especially of the Middle Ages.
